I'm going to be buying wheels/tires in about 3 weeks and I'm still trying to choose a size. When researching I found some info but not enough to give me confidence.
I'm planning on getting 275/70R17 KO2s and putting them on mamba m13s that have -12 offset. I might run spacers as well if they're necessary or I want a wider stance than the meager -12 will give me. I'd rather not trim but I will if necessary as I'm not running 31s again as I did on my first gen.
Who runs 275/70R17 tires? How much front lift do you have? How much offset? Did you have any rubbing issues? Pictures are always welcome as I love seeing everybody's trucks that are way cooler than mine!

-12 will be poking out about 1-1/2"s outside your fenders. I run 275's that measure 32.3 on 18" wheels with a 2.5" lift up front. I rub the wheel well in reverse when turning. Spacers will make it much worse. Besides it's not a good look.

-12 will push the wheels out that much? I thought it was only going to move the wheel less than half an inch per side or 12mm which is the rim offset... is there something I don't know?

275s are a terrible size IMO. They have the weight of nearly 285s but don't offer the height, meaning the mpg, power, braking and ride loss with no real gain. Instead I'd look at 255/75/R17 which is nearly the same diameter of 275s, but instead weigh the exact same as 265s for the C-load KO2s, which means reduced loss in mpg, power, braking and ride. Much better for a daily driver. Oh, and shouldn't rub, so no cutting of the truck required.

Your opinion, yes they're heavy, but you avoid the CMC. 265's look a hair too skinny for my taste, and 285's bring too many trimming issues. That's why I decided on that size.

Fox 2.0 tiny bit under 3 inches in front, no rubbing, not even on mudflaps ( tiny one in front had to come off, took the rest off because they don't look very good in my opinion. I will be putting them back on in the winter though..

Not sure if helps, I run 275-70-18, it's slightly taller than 285, just not as wide as a 285. It's a true 33" tire, I only rubbed a bit on the fenderflares, had to cut it, was making me nuts!

Mine are -12 and 9" wide, they are perfectly even with the stock TRD over fender.. Off set means they are -12 off the centerline. 12mm equals about a half inch, mind you the wheels are an inch and a half wider than stock..

I just put 255/75/17 Cooper AT/3 on 4Runner Trail rims (slightly more aggressive offset than stock Tacoma rims) and no CMC required. No rubbing for me, although I should mention I replaced my stock mudflaps with Rockblocz.

255 seems skinny, especially if you're considering 275 or 285, but it's not a bad look for the truck. Let me know if you want pics and I'll snap a few and post them.

I would love to see some pictures mate, still trying to decide and my main concern with with the 255/75s is that they won't be wide enough for me.

Not the best pics, but here are a few shots. Running a @HeadStrong Off-Road OME lift that added ~2" over stock, and 4runner wheels with slightly more offset.

PS My alignment isn't as bad as the first pic suggests - the street wasn't level where I parked. I had it aligned two weeks ago after installing the OMEs and it's dead on now.

285/70R17 mud tires, 17x9 -24 offset very heavy tire not a good everyday driver, sticks out a good 2 inches. It however is pretty amazing offroad. 3" lift rubs on fenders, cab corner and mud flaps. Turns a lot of heads tho.

How much front lift do you have and are your rims negative offset? Those look great but I'm not going to shove 33s under mine just yet haha

No rubbing. Not sure if stock height as I just got her last month.
    Love the look though.

Doesn't seem like stock height. Spacer lift, maybe?
