Sorry to hear this, but good to know. Makes me wonder if the 14s and 15s operate a little differently. My location continues to update with the lockout bypassed.

UPDATE: I drove it some more today and it seems to have fixed itself... The GPS on the navigation is working as usual. I'll update again if it changes.

UPDATE 2: The headunit now shows and updates my location but I've realized that when I try to program a route it never starts the turn-by-turn, simply saying "navigation will start after you get on the highlighted route."

I know this has been answered already, but I've been searching this thread over and over only confusing myself more. Can someone please take a look at this and tell me what wires I hook up and where??

I have the kit from briguydiy, I would've bought the kit here if I had seen this in time. Anyways I believe the diode is already soldered in, but I just don't have any clue which wire do what.... Can anyone shed some light?becd69906b24ef04d549dc92469a479b.jpg IMG_1624.jpg

Anyone know if there is a Toyota style dual throw toggle switch out there? The idea is to use one switch for backup cam any time, and nav any time. Flip switch up for nav any time, middle position is off, flip switch down for backup cam. This would be glorious.

@treimche Good info from @Hoangde -- to add a bit more to the question you'd want a DPDT On-Off-On type switch.

While Digikey has a nice round rocker DPDT On-Off-On switch, if you want the Toyota style switch I believe you'd most easily achieve that via separate switch body and customized rocker face from the otrattw.net site Hoangde refrences.

    Switch body: http://www.otrattw.net/V-SERIES-SEALED-ROCKER-SWITCH-BODY-ONLY-NO-ROCKER-VJD2U.html or http://www.otrattw.net/V-SERIES-SEALED-ROCKER-SWITCH-BODY-ONLY-NO-ROCKER-VLD1S00B-00000-000.html
One is lighted and you can select your LED color, the other is unlighted.

    Rocker: http://www.otrattw.net/CONTURA-V-REAR-CAMERA-ROCKER-ONLY-VVPZCCM-5RC.html
Change the customizable text on the rocker to something appropriate like "No Nanny" or "NAV Input", or choose whatever other rocker face you prefer.

Note - I've not done this myself at this point and likely will save my factory switch locations for other future projects.

Thanks for the info. Just wanted to be sure these actually fit in the Toyota factory switch spots? Dimensions show .830 by 1.45 inches, which convert to by 21.082 by 36.83 mm. Even though the height is a tad smaller than the opening in the truck, it should work fine I would think. Just noticed every color is out of stock :frusty:

Definitely validate the sizes, I could have misread something.

Ordered! Looking forward to the install once it warms up.

Hoangde, I saw on another thread that you used this for anytime front and rear camera. Mind throwing up a wiring diagram on how you made that happen?

I was curious if you have successfully tested auxiliary video and audio through RCA and HDMI. I'm waiting for all my parts to arrive to complete my install and am anxiously curious if it will successfully work. Any feedback is appreciated, regards

BTW @jshsltr your harness made it so simple to build off of with my own preferred SPDT switch (no diode) pulling from the IG pin on 28-pin for the +12DC signal source. I got reverse-cam anytime with *just* the harness and no other connection.

Seriously, the most difficult part was figuring out where I wanted to put my round switch. :D
