I'm going to mess with her, too. I'll say I heard Jack bragging about the deal, and I'd like to offer her $5k for the truck. Yee haw!

I like how they added "trust" to the end of the email address. That makes them legit, right???

Dude, I have some beach-front property just outside Topeka, Kansas that I think you'd be interested in.

Did any notice that on that so called invoice there is no vehicle identification on it any where.

So after someone buys the said truck, it is never delivered because there was never any vehicle to begin with, and the buyer has nothing to prove they bought it.

I think to many people screwing with her/him is going to screw it up. I think Neon needs to mess with her for awhile and maybe a couple of others just to encourage her. This is going to be fun to watch play out.

Excellent work on the scam of a scam!

Unfortunately, they never catch these criminals. They did a Dateline - To Catch a Scammer and flew out to meet some of these criminals. As hard as NBC tried, they couldn't get the police to do anything. Once they revealed on hidden camera who they were, the criminal would just turn and walk away. At the end, they flashed a note that none of the scammers where caught or charged.

It is too difficult and expensive to track down these people. I'm sure they get away with it on a regular basis. Hell, i'm sure a few people saw that Ebay invoice and wouldn've gone through with it. I always know a scammer by the poor grammer.

I have sold a few dirt bikes on craigslist and can spot the scam from 'hello'.

I think it has to do with people being in such a frenzie to capitalize on the seemingly perfect deal. It lets excuses like

go without any red flags. Pretty much as longs as there is a steady stream of victims, the scammers will keep on scamming. If the victims stop falling, they will adapt and find new methods

Yeah... I haven't sent her an email yet... I'll probably wait, too. I want to see how far Neon can take it. I agree that if we all do it at once she'll catch on. I really want to use my name, though: "Hugh G. Rection"
