3" toytec lift, 285/65/18 Nitto Trail Grapplers with 18" XD Monsters. Flowmaster 50 series, deck plate mod, putting in 2 8" kickers behind back bench.
I have 285/65/18 Trail Grapplers with monsters and I ditched my mudflaps too. It looks a lot better. All they do is get in the way especially when your tires stick out that far.

Persactly! I'm on the other side of most in thinking that they actually look better on than off...and what you said. Protection. I think the 1.5" lift will get me enough clearance that in 98% of my daily driving, it'll not rub.

Looks great! A little lift will set it off. I would try to keep the flaps also. After 33,000 miles on my 08, I don't have any rock chips on the rockers.

Yup. 4.5" backspace and -12mm offset. I actually didn't want it to stick out this far. I was shooting for the look of Chris4x4's, where everything is more under the fenders. He said he didn't remember the offset but it must have been the 5.71 backspace and +18mm offset. Though, I'm not sure how his doesn't rub more on the internals...

Nice, so you still wanting to lift? I think it looks pretty bad ass without a lift.

i have 285s with some rockstars that are the same size and i had to cut into the bumper to remove all rubbing. i also have a 3" lift. im confused how just removing the mudflaps will get rid of the rubbing?

I think its because he isnt moving. I think he will still have rubbing when he is driving, hitting bumps and stuff

ok ya. i mean when he needs to crank his steering wheel, his truck is going to hear it for sure rubbing on the plastic. se7en if they dont rub while driving, then thats a miracle. if they do rub, just cut into the bumper to give your tires more room to travel. or just get an offroad bumper with more space for the front tires.

I lost a half inch of gap between the bottom of the fender and top of the new tires due to the size. What's a better way to fix it than adding 3 times more than I lost...?:D Seriously, I'm still leaning towards a small 1.5" spacer lift with Bilsteins and blocks in the rear. For no other reason than "just in case" the opportunity arises for some light-duty wheelin'.

If that's the case, why doesn't yours stick out as far from under the fender as mine? I mean, essentially, we have the exact same setup (minus lift) and I stick out 2.25". The only way that could be is if you were in toward the frame an inch or so. Juding by the catalog options in your rim (Helo Maxx 6), the only other option is the 5.71" bs or the 5.56" bs with +18 and +15mm offsets respectively.

Hmm.....If it was the 5.71 or 5.56 BS, It would have rubbed the stock UCA's. It didnt.

No, no, no. I have put over 100 miles on her since removing the flaps yesterday and I don't rub except when in reverse and at full lock on the steering wheel. Swear.

With mine, I've got about 1.25" of clearance between the side of the tire and the UCA as it stands.

Hmm.....Interesting. I had about 1/8" with the stock UCA's. Im wondering how I can go about finding the exact size of the wheel??
