or I guess I could keep it easy and go with the 265/75/16... but what backspacing is the max I could go with that? I like the tires to stick out about 1-2 inches.

In order to get them to stick out 1-2" past the fender, you'll need at least 4.5" of backspacing. Tires are less important when it concerns how far they will stick out...its the rims

Take a look at this post. Scroll down to post #10. This guy bought MotoMetal 951's and put his stock tires back on them. They are 17x9 with 4.5" bs and stick out a good 2".

The only difference between his and mine are that my tires have a more squared shoulder as opposed to his more rounded shoulder. His are the stock 265's and mine are 285's. See, the width of the tires means very little...its the backspacing that does the pushing out.

take off the front flaps, sell them like other said. you need to lift it up, it will look even better, i got my monsters last june i believe, first one on toyotanation, i got so much crap for getting them in the 18" size, i love how they look, and now there are a one of them around the forums now, lol, i got them to be different, but with mine, i trimmed a ton in the front, i cut out the whole plastic part, so when wheeling, i will never hear that noise again, plus i have bfg a/t's they are boxy. i love the look of your truck, now lift it, you see what mine looks like, do it, lol

Oh, the lift is already scheduled for 3/12. Mud flaps are gone...but I just want them back on. I want the protection they offer, but can live without them.

This thread has transformed into an informative thread more than "questions I had" thread. There are others out there that are looking for answers to "what if's". Plus, there are a lot of people (myself included) that don't want to just hack the hell out of the fender to get it to stop rubbing. I only want precise and necessary cuts.

    Your truck looks great, BTW.

This is incorrect. The part # listed in your post is for a "blank" bolt circle with a 4.53" bs. I went directly to KMC's website for the info (http://www.wheelpros.com/browse.asp...78&desc=one piece aluminum painted&section=XD). Plus, the -12mm offset can't be with a 5.47" bs. A 5.47" bs would have a +12mm os. See my chart on page 4. I wish they did have a 5.47", though. Where did you get that info?

Good try, but the 5.47bs still should yield a +12mm os, not -12mm.

Interesting. Where are you getting this? Again, their (KMC) website doesn't list this size as an option, nor could I quickly find it at any of the sites I looked at.

That part number is listed as 4.53 bs on their official website.

That's got to be a typo on their side. That should say 4.53. When I googled that part number, it comes up with 4.53" at other sites like discounttire.com and xdmonster.com.

I know. I did the same thing and got what you say. The problem is I can't find that size ANYWHERE else...including at a different place on their same website.

Now i will add this little peice of info. When i bought my wheels from a local retailer who is a wheelpros dealer. He told me that kmc cuts wheels specifically for the tacoma 6 lug and that my wheels would fit perfect and be hub centric?
