Has anyone did there alignment and started to rub on the front mudflaps and bumper?
Also if anyone installed OME BP-51 what are there current settings on the coilovers?

Do you have adjustable upper control arms? Your caster is on the low side. You need to pivot the lower control arm forward, doing this further decreases caster, this is where UCAs come in.

They removed caster. Thay should have added caster via control arm. Take it back and say you need at least 1.5*+ caster and keeping toe and camber within spec. They can achieve this with stock ucas.

Edit: I'm an idiot, I still think he'll need UCAs

I had no rubbing with 285/70/17 KO2s with bp-51s installed and stock upper control arms but i removed my front mud flaps. I now have total chaos UCA though made the alignment better. Also I didn't touch the settings of the bp-51s as they came from the company.

Factory camber/caster adjustments are associated with the lower control arm. More positive caster will move the lower ball joint forward (tire will move half the distance in that direction). Any aftermarket camber/caster adjustments are achieved by replacement of uca. Any positive caster gained this way will move the upper ball joint back. I would be more worried about your camber settings. Can you take a picture of the lca cams. I'd like to see what adjustment you have left. Can you give details on lift and anything else that would affect this?

As this is true he should still beable to get 1.5* caster with minor lift. Stock setup can achieve 3 5* caster. Aftermarket UCA's add 2* caster. 1 5* is not asking for much. He had a lazy alignment tech.

Absolutely. The camber is nowhere close to where it needs to be. That's why I asked to see the cam bolts .

Would you guys recommend upgrading my stock UCA's to be able to have better adjustment?
I am planning on taking it back tomorrow to have them make the changes.
What do you guys recommend changing it to... anyone alignment savie and what it should be?

You want 1.5-3* caster. Camber around 0-.2 and toe 0-.1.

I always thought it was recommended to run 3.5 degrees of caster to have better handling on bigger tires. Also you made the mistake of not telling him the alignment you want rather than just let the tech put the alignment into spec. You should be telling them exactly what you want to see on the print out.

True but with stock ucas 2* is max he could get on a luck day. I've ran 0-5* caster on my 4runner. At 2* it rides the same as 5*. 1.7* and above is within toyota spec. Caster really only affects steering wheel return. If it's too low it wont fully return to center.

I've found if you add caster via uca you tend to push the tire into the firewall. Bad when running 33-35" tires. Not sure how much of an issue on tacos. So I fine tuned my LR arms for maximum firewall clearance. Pretty much in the stock uca location.

I took it back to get it realigned. They said that alignmwnt is spot on, i requested to change to 1.5+ on caster and they dont recommend it. Then they said, they will charge 110 bucks to modify the mudflaps.

You want to max out caster - ideally above 2 degrees. Tell you alignment shop that you're paying them and to do what you say!!

You should look in to aftermarket UCAs as well...SPC makes a great adjustable ball joint option.

You have to take it to a specialty alignment place.
