No, I wouldn't say your good to go. I know members on here say they run a 285 size tire with a positive offset and have no issues with rubbing. I'm not calling them liars as I don't see any incentive for someone to lie about such a thing, but I just don't see, from my own experience, how it's possible to fit a 285 on these trucks without some sort of rubbing. Especially if you consider room to flex. You should be able to get away with it with minor trimming, just watch that UCA.

Cut the pinch weld about 2/3 of the way though and about 12inchs up then rolled it over, the flair was trimmed on the inside just to clear, same with the inner fender plastics. Not bad almost forgot also cut the cab mount.

I have noticed in doing home work on this subject I think that what year of taco it is makes a difference.
I am also wondering how many people are running load range C or E and why one or the other.
    And tire pressures. thnx

Thinking about putting 285/70/17's (KO2) on my 3rd gen, 2-inch spacers in the front and 2-inch blocks in the rear, -12 offset. Does anyone have this setup that can shed some knowledge on me? I've already bought the tires but reading through here I'm getting so many mixed answers I'm not sure what to believe lol. I'm not wanting to do any CMC, just wondering if I'm going to be getting any rubbing. There will not be any offroading with this setup.

    Thanks in advance!

I love the look and would like to beef mine up but I am afraid of losing the nice ride. It drives great now. Did your ride change much? Any shakes or death rattles with the lift? I'm mostly highway miles but like the look of the beefy tires.

I got to tell ya ,I was sure that the ride was going to stiffen up, I do 200 miles a day on a two lane highway, and it rides better then stock by far, its unbelievable , handling is way better, not a single issue.
