I don’t think extended travel has anything to do with it. That’s just something internal to the coilover. The geometry should all be the same.

These trucks are so so weird. I had the same backspace. About a degree less caster. My 285’s didn’t rub at all. I had an icon extended travel kit with the upper arms.

    But what about offset?
I'm fine straight it's turning that's the issue

I'm starting to think if I raised it more if that would help.
Because I have adjustment in the coilover still

I wish I remembered how much mine was cranked. I know it wasn’t maxed. But knowing me it was close. I’d imagine I was somewhere between 2.5-3.0 in lift.

I'm going to talk to the shop I deal with this week see what my options are.

One of my friends just did 35s and like you said I'm having all the same issues to fit a 33.

Have anymore luck with the 33s? I plan on running a similar setup.

I am in the same boat. 285’s 0 offset 3.1 and 3.6 caster. My lift is only at 1-1.5 inches over stock. Correct me if I am wrong but let’s say I crank up my coil overs another .5-1 inches for a 2ish total lift and don’t rub. I’ll still rub when my suspension cycles up and I am turning. So the only remedy is cmc. :sawzall:

With an extra bit of lift I can drive now but still have some rubbing when pulling out of the driveway rubbing on the fender.

Body mount is relatively clear only time I have slight rub is in reverse full lock backing into the sloped driveway.

Can't cut anymore as it's rubbing right near the mount itself so just need to deal with it.

I have the same set up up front but on 16" konig 4.5 BS. I can stuff my wheel all the way to the top of the wheel well and full turn. I hammered pinch weld and CMC. I could drive with out any rubbing and no trimming before I started clearing for off road use.

    Corrected 4.5 BS not 4.0.

Yes I should have mentioned I have icon UCA. My wheels are 8 inches wide with 4.5 inches of back spacing so the offset is 0. A SCS sr8 wheel that is 8.5 wide with 4.3 offset would be .39 inches more poked out. The stock off-road wheel 25 offset would be about 1 inch further in but might rub your UCA.

Use this link to get a idea when trying to compare your set up to other. It helpful when other say that can and you can't fit a 285. But as far as I know anyone running 285 or more will have to chop off their cab mount for a peace of mind, because even if it does clear, its to close. If you do wheel your taco, than more clearance is what you want....

That’s the site I used to calc those numbers. I was hoping that my wheels would tuck in enough that I wouldn’t rub.

I don’t rub much after removing the mud flaps, only just before full lock. But I want clearance for actually using the truck. I don’t think any additional lift or caster adjustments will get me there. As the wheel needs to clear all the way through the suspension cycle.
