2013 LONGBED WITH A 3" LIFT(SPACER) RUNNING TOYOTA TSS EDITION RIMS THAT ARE 17x8 WITH +18 OFFSET. WILL THE 285/75-17'S FIT W/O RUBBING OR WILL I STILL NEED A SPACER OR ADAPTER TO PUSH THE WHEEL OUT FURTHER?

Satoshi'd grill. blacked out badges. aftermarket sound system. De-chromed and color matched. OME 885s + Dakars with 3rd leaf removed. LR UCAs. Scs stealth 6 with 285 duratracs. BAMF sliders
Probably need a spacer so you dont rub the UCA, not sure what size spacer would be ideal for +18 offset. Probably 3/4" if that exists? dunno. You said 285/75 but you mean 285/70/17 right? Even with the ideal spacer you MAY STILL RUB IN OTHER AREAS

I have 285-17's on stock wheels. With the stock UCA's they rubbed the UCA's at full lock but now with aftermarket UCA's they rub the frame slightly. This is mostly mall crawling and its not bad when they rub.

CORRECT... MEANT TO SAY 285/70-17! SO YOUR THINKING EVEN WITH AN IDEAL SIZE SPACER, THERE MAY NEED TO BE SOME TRIMMING DONE. I'M OKAY WITH MINOR TRIMMING.

Same wheels/tire size, with 1.25 spidertrax and 4inch spindle lift. Mine still rubs slightly at full turn. You will rub unless you trim.

Minor trimming if you dont plan on wheeling it or flexing the suspension while turning. I had to do the cab mount chop, remove a bunch of plastic from the inner wheel well, cut the bottom corners off of the fender flare in the front and back of the wheel well, but my set up is different than yours. Alignment, UCAs, Wheels specs, suspension, tire size and tread pattern: all these can play a role in determining how much rubbing you might experience.

There are to many factors to count on no trimming or only minor trimming. If you want to go with 285s plan on trimming. Go with a skinnier tire if you dont want to trim. I think the 285s are worth it. The big one that people want to avoid is the cab mount chop, some guys have to do it, some guys dont.

THANKS! APPRECIATE THE HONEST ANSWER. MAKES IT EASIER FOR ME TO MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION. PLUS I'M FROM THE SAME SCHOOL OF THOUGHT... I THINK THE 285's WOULD/WILL BE WORTH IT!
