Been searching for tires in 285/70 r17. Looking to see if anyone has used or has confirmed the weight for a nitto trail grappler in load range c. I am hoping to use a lighter weight tire as to affect mpg's as little as possible. Only really interested in AT or MT type tires.
GY duratrac Load D 53 lbs
    GY MTR Load D 58lbs
    BFG KO2 Load E 58lbs
    BFG KM2 Load D 60 lbs
    Cooper STT Pro 61lbs
    Cooper ST max 63lbs
    Toyo MT Load E 66lbs
Toyo RT Load E 58 lbs
Nitto trail grappler E 68 lbs
    Nitto Trail grappler C 61lbs
    Update for August 2016
Nitto Ridge grappler load c 52lbs

    Edit: updated tire specs

Weight never really affected my mpgs really. Drove 100 miles according to GPS and the odometer recorded 87 Miles. Imbstill averaging 20.6-21.3 mpgs but I'm all highway

This tire is 61lbs according to Nitto. I called and asked them about this specific tire recently.

Thread revival. What is the weight difference between c and e than? I really want this tire but I don't want that much weight out of a C

Tire is meant to carry more load at e rating. More sidewall, usually more ply how many depends on make of the tire. I am now checking out the new nitto ridge grappler. They come in a c load and are more street friendly than the trial grappler. Haven't found weight for that one. But at this point I don't care and will be going with the ridge grappler in c rated because it suits my needs. And it will be lighter than the e rated, never seen a c rated tire heavier than e rated in the same size and make.

The ST Maxx aren't that light. I got a response from Cooper directly, and in 285, they're 63 lbs. It's because of the beefy 3 ply sidewall.
