    Hello everyone!
I have a SR5 double cab 4x4 Tacoma. I need so guidance, from you out there.
I would like to added the following to my truck:

    LT285/70R17 Nitto Ridge Grappler
    2.5” lift

my issues is I can’t figure out the width 7.5 or 8.0 and offset between 0 and -12 for a 17” wheel. I would like for the outside lineup with the outer fender. No cutting, rubbing or trimming if possible.

I really appreciate all the help I can get.
    Thanks

Will need to cut with both options,0 offset would be closer to fender they stick out a small bit.

I would get 255/80/17 +4 offset wheels and call it a day. Skinniest make tacoma look better. Anything between look so so until you get to 35 and higher

265s on +13 wheel are sticking just a hair on sr5 fender flares

8" and 0 if you want the best odds of clearing with minimal cutting. The higher negetive your offset the higher the scrub radius the less clearance you have. Do you have a good alignment shop lined up? Adding caster to your alignment will aid in clearing the cab mount. What upper control arm are you running? Some make this process easier some make it harder some uca's are so bad you'll be replacing them every oil change.
I cleared 285's on a 17x9 +1 wheel with rokblokz mud flaps and a small front fender liner tuck.
As mentioned above the absolute best wsy to go for no rubbing issues the skinny option. I will argue the looks factor though skinnies look rediculas regardless of performance benefits. If this route is chosen stick to no more than a 7.5" wide wheel

I got my cab mount chopped yesterday and I feel like I still need more chopping. I think I still rub full locked on reverse with a little articulation like driveways or slightly angled platform. The piece they cut was only 5” ish in length and about an inch deep. This is with a 0 offset 8.5 inch width wheels and 285/70r17 tires. I say chop for more peace of mind.

What are your alignment specs? I got more clearance than that with no chop

Dont think 255s look ridiculous at all? They look just like 265s just taller, to me anyway :)

I will only run 33"x10" on my truck.

I had a buddy with 255's on his fj and just couldn't take the thing serious once I looked at it from the back looked like little barbie doll tires even next to my 265's at the time how you can see that whole 10mm is beyond me but there was somthing halarious about it at the time.

285/75's are on deck once my 295's wear out

    Stawk as FUCK!
I was on 3” lift with 285 tires with 0 offset 17x8 wheels. It’s a perfect setup, no cutting needing & the tires were perfectly matched to fender edge. Required good alignment to push caster forward.

edit: I bought these wheels years ago and still holding up plenty fine after years of off-roading: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2020-trd-pro-wheel-reps.604235/

Thank you everyone for the feedback and thank you for the tip on where to buy the wheels. I like those wheels and more likely will be purchasing them. Thanks again!!

Must be an FJ thing :)

Seriously though, some 255s look a bit skinner than others.

    Looks just fine to me:devil:

    Yeah, yeah.

You are not the first one to make fun of my minimalist sled.

Works just fine for me though.

    Thanks!

Been going quite a bit all winter. I fish all year long actually, non stop pretty much. I love it.

Caught these 2 yesterday, longest trout ive ever caught! They do look a bit skinny because i cleaned them on the ice.
