I have 285/75-16 KM2's on my truck right now. (OME 885 /5100). They are BRUTALLY stiff when going over small bumps and on fire roads. Practically jarring sometimes. I have tried them at 30-35psi with no luck. I really want to find some AT's in the same size in a lower load range to make it more streetable.

I do need off road capability but it's not the for runner of my needs. At this point the KM2's aren't even fun to drive on a fire road. What are people running for this need? The KO2 or Duratrac would be great but are both Load E!

I don't think you have any options in that size, man. To get a lighter duty tire you've gotta move up to 17s IIRC

I have load range E KO2s and it's not uncommon for me to air down to 20psi to get the ride I want on FSR's. 33psi is my everyday highway pressure. You may want to consider airing down a bit more?

Good luck. I just researched this size in 16" with no luck, unless they were real cheap. Ended up going with KO2s, I hate the weight, but like the look. Purchased them tonight through 4WheelParts.Com for $791 shipped. Only time will tell...

The Grabber AT2's are load range D in the size. Seem like really good all arounders but a tad less aggressive than the KO2's.

It's less the weight but more the steel like ride they give. I can literally feels pebbles.
