Anybody running 285/75 tires and the oem trd pro 4Runner wheels?

tirerack lists ko2s and nitto ridge grapplers as fitting 7.5in to 10in wheels but discount tire lists them fitting 7-10.
I know about the FN wheels so I’m just wondering about the oem 17x7 wheels.

They fit but it’s close. We have them on our T4R and it looks good but I’m cognizant about wheeling because I don’t want to pop them off the bead.

Yea that’s one of my thoughts too. Have you aired down on them yet?

That’s good. Me personally I’m going rock crawling but I love the look of the meatier tire. And how they would fill out the wheels wells. Trying to see if can just buy tires and make it work with what I have now. Other option is much pricier haha

The general consensus is that running a too wide tire for a wheel doesn't make it less likely to pop off the bead, it just makes them more rounded when inflated. So driving performance and wear are more likely to be affected.

    Cement_Bane[OP] and saundern like this.
