285/70/17 wont rub after you do a CMC. 285/75/17 require a bigger cmc an a good amount of trimming in the fender wells.

Yeah, I just like the way they look tbh. My truck would only be used on the beach during the summers.

If it’s possible to get away with a cmc, pinch weld, and trimming with 5100s I’d want to try. A full suspension change is overkill for my needs.

But if that’s what I need to do I’d rather do it right the first time.

    285/75/17 and not 285/70/17?

I’ve read the 5100 thread and seen lots of people running this setup on 285/70. But I haven’t seen any info on 285/75

    Most likely OME, probably 887

The 5100's are fine. You would need a cmc and pinch weld hammering with any set up for the most part.

Got 5100’s all around & OME 888 up front. Got some 285/75r17 ridge grapplers coming soon to go with the new 17x9 ray 10’s with -38 offset
I’ll let you know soon how it goes. Getting cmc done Saturday and tires should be on early next week

Appreciate it, that’s the exact setup I’m curious about. Little to no info out there for the third gens with that setup

    Like, so many.
I'm doing 285/70/17 with CMC and pinch weld and only a spacer level up front.

Gotta love the smartasses here, appreciate all your help. Really do.

Same suspensions but different trucks regardless. Looking for a specific setup, found the info.

    You're thinking 285/70R17

OP is talking about a 285/75R17
There is not near as much info about the 285/75R17 which equates to a 34" tire rather than the 33" 285/70R17.

Commited to as much as I need too. Honestly I don’t do any off reading or rock crawling, most my truck would ever see is the beach.

I just like the way it looks, a 34 inch tire to me is the right size. Seen it in person compared to 33s.

From the research I’ve done, I know I’ll need a CMC, pinch weld, and some manipulation of the inner liner.

Please link me to a thread or post for a 3rd gen running 285/75/17 with 5100s. I’d love to see it, if I missed it my bad
