I recently decided to switch things up from the tall skinny, primarily to see if there was any improvements in performance in sand/mud (most common elements in Nebraska). For those interested, here's a side by side comparison of tire width. Certaintly it's not the most ideal comparison with the Coopers being under load, but I was still surprised at the lack of extreme difference. Thoughts?

30 mm of difference in tread width is about 1 1/4" difference. That looks about right.

I'm running the coopers in the 255 size, curious to see what you think after swapping them out. What wheels are you running? Also curious to see how much trimming you need going to that size.
