I am currently running 265/75/16 with auto trans, I am very happy with the performance of the truck. My question is those of you running 285's is it worth the power loss? Assuming you feel or notice a loss of power.

    Thanks!

I just upgraded to 285's the other day. I had a very small power loss, or maybe not even any honestly. Truck still moves good, and I feel like the truck just feels so much smoother, and just better overall. I honestly wish I got 285's sooner. I think it also matters what kind of 285 you get as well. I got a Toyo A/T so its nothing to crazy. My gas mileage dropped maybe .2, I cant really tell yet, because I have to re calibrate my ultraguage also. Overall I think you should, but you might have to do the cab mount chop and trim some fender and now I dont rub!

Depends on what you're going to do with your truck. Offloading, regear? Lots of highways miles? Aesthetics?

I will be doing very light offroading towing the occasional trailer, heading to fields and woods to hunt. I will be running cooper stt or duratracs so a little more aggressive. I have a 2" leveling kit in front TSB in back. I figured I would have to trim a little.

    Thanks for the replies!
