I had 265s on my truck with 1.75 lift in the front and they looked small to me so I rolled the dice and ordered some nitto terra grapplers size 285/75/16 and hoped they would fit. Well I figured I would rub a lot and have some issues but I was surprised when they only rubbed my right front fender when I turned right all the way. I love the look and they ride way better than my old MTs. I know that if I offroaded that I might have some problems with them but for my use which Is 90 percent street driving I have no rubbing with a little trimming. I have the trd fake beadlocks which have the perfect offset for the 285s I have about an inch of clearance between the tires and UCA and no rubbing now on the street with a little trimming. So I just posted to say it can be done if you want the looks and aren't serious about off roading.

Power loss isn't bad I can tell a little but it's a truck so I don't really care as far as mpg I haven't had it long enough to know yet I'll have more info soon. I think the offset is what makes mine work

i have stealth customs stealth 6's... my offset would prob. make mine rub on the front of inner fender and rear of fender flare im guessing. They stick out further then yours. im not afraid to cut or do the cab mount chop.. think i'll try some 285's for my next set.

Just finished the tank of gas and got 19 miles per gallon once I took into consideration the 7 percent difference in size.

I'm running 285 65 18 Terra Grapplers on mine with billies set at 1.75. I have just a minor bit of rubbing on the flap beyond 3/4 turn. No big deal... 14000 miles and really no evidence on the flap of rubbing.
