    ive had my 285s on for abt 2 weeks now and the loss of power is KILLING MEEEE. im a frequent interstate traveler for my job. i have a work truck but drive mine to the airport often. if you dont run 75 or 80 mph you get run over...i have the TRD s/c, jba headers and a exhaust...wtf do i do to get more out of my truck????

    regear??

    my local "shop" did a custom y pipe, i got the decplate mod, ill look into the MAF, and i got the 7th injector kit, and bigger fuel pump??? i also thought about a bigger throttle body??? do they make em?

    I got 285's with no S/C and I def. felt a loss in power, but I dont think its too bad, Im ganna be putting on some TRD headers to help.

    idk maybe its just my truck??? i pull a bass boat to the lake about every other day and its like it kills it at like 50 or 55 mph

    Gears will give the most performance increase for the dollar. If your a Prerunner, your looking at only $500.00 or so for new gears.

    I belive the Stock Gears uin your truck are 4:10's...Try and find some 4:56's. Keep in mind, your reves will increase about 400 +/- rpm in top gear on the freeway.

    X2. It doesnt give you "Power", rather it increases the leverage your engine has over the tires.
