can it be done without wheel spacers or will it hit on the UCA?

spacers are not that expensive 100 bucks and problem is solved

hmm... even still if the 285's are the same width as the 265's then they should clear the uca's im not worried about them rubbing on the cab mount i can trim that back later on...

the 265 are shorter and the extra height of the 285 is what makes them hit. are you running a lift?

with 3 inches you should clear, if im wrong someone should chime in. you might scrub at full lock but spacers should make it bearable it your not a hardcore wheeler.

I'm kinda in the same boat here except not worried about rubbage. New to me 08 prerunner has no lift and I won't be doing any more than 1/2" up front this time using 1/4" toytec taco lean top plate spacers on both sides with the TRD Bilsteins going in up front in place of the tokicos. I have 245/75/16s now but in 35k or so when they wear out, I was thinking of doing 1.25 wheel spacers and going with 285/65/16 or closest 285 OD size to the others but thinking about just bumping up to 265/70/16s and skipping the wheel spacers.

285s are wider than a 265... hence the 285.
