Bilstein 6112 front / 5100 rear (extended) shocks, Headstrong AAL, Firestone airbags, 4.88 gears, OME Carrier bearing drop kit, Aluminum 1/4" skids (engine to transfer). Custom sliders (1.75" HREW tube w/ 3/16" base plates). Custom front bumper and high clearance rear bumper (1/4" steel plate, 1.75" tube.) Apex 5500 winch w/synthetic line (36lbs) and required accessories for an underpowered winch (snatch blocks and extra line.) Tekonsha P3 brake controller, remote start, any-time-backup camera w/ front facing camera, Leer 100R shell (w/e-track single slot tie-down mounts for removable Yakima EasyTop.) Cat shields by CaliRaised. Husky liners, window tint, heated seat (passenger only.) Relentless bed rail brackets with QuickFists (shovel/axe/fire extinguisher.) Hondo Garage Un-holey vent mount. Anytime rear with front facing camera. Billet front seat risers. Viair 88p. 265/75r16 Goodyear Ultra-terrain tires.
Enjoy the driving adventure. In my experience cruise won't get you to your goal... but if you manually manage your energy and allow the speed to drop a bit on inclines you can do it with lightweight 245 highway tires.

The aerodynamics of a brick do not help haha!

My fuel mileage sucks if going over 65-70.

    Oh look, another mod....
My MPG's are equal to yours, I can easily get 19.6/20MPG in mixed driving. The best I ever got was almost 23/23.5MPG, but that was 99% highway, with the cruise control set at 65MPH while driving through Texas (It's a pretty flat state)..

The only thing I am curious about is my own results, for how I drive in the locations I drive, in three variables: stock, lifted w/ 285's, and finalized with 5.29's.

But I suspect my average of 41mpg's will remain the same. I can math very good. Trust me.

You'll get 25-26mpgs if you're lower than the speed limit, most likely. Obviously depending on limits. I noticed the 6 speed sees some of its best gas mileage at like 45-50mph. And if I could hold that for the entire tank I would probably end up in the mid-high 20s for mpgs.

Maybe a bare bone Tacoma, 2 wheel drive…4 cylinder…? or

There is a company in America that installs Diesel engines…in the 3gen Tacomas…approx under $30,000…

The Fakebooker is probably reporting the ID10T display on the dashboard.

Highly doubtful if that is a real number over a tank.

Gotta throw the Brown BS flag on this.

I notice that there is rarely mention of whether the Tacoma is 4 wheel drive or 2 wheel drive when specifying mpg. I would believe 29mpg hypermiling with a 2 wheel drive. My experience had been that the 4x4 takes a big hit on mpg though. I am new to the 3rd generation and got 23 mpg on the highway recently. The best ever on a second generation was 18.5 However I was able to get 24 to 26 mpg with the 2nd gen on the 2 wheel drive on the highway driving very slowly.
