My truck with 295 70 r17 Nitto Terra Grapplers on 17x9 -12 wheels (1.25" Spidertrax in the front also). I love the tire size it does awesome for a semi-daily driver, hunting rig, and dirtbike hauler... but I kinda wish visually I went a tad bigger when I bumped the lift up but i definitely dig the practicality for my use

That's what I'm running and you'll likely need to chop. I havent yet, but I haven't taken it far enough off road for it to rub enough to bother me.

What is your guess how a 17x9 285/70/17 would fit up in that stock location when doing your trim mod? Thanks!

What's your suspension setup? Did you have to hammer your pinchwelds to get the 295's to fit with the 16x8 Ray 10's? I have the same wheels and am looking at going to 295 once I have to replace my tires.

    list is growing fast
I’m on fox dsc ext travel 650# coils, and SPC LR UCA’s. Caster should be at 3 degrees, with the lower cams maxed out forward and the rest dialed in at the adjustable ball joint on the UCA. I think I’m around 2” lift. Maybe 1.5 or 1.75”. I don’t know. Too lazy to keep measuring, I just know I’m in the sweet spot travel wise And my CV angles are good.

As for the pinch weld, well, I pounded that bish flat a month or so before I got the new tires. It was really easy actually. Like really easy. I was all worried it would be a PITA, but was pleasantly surprised at how fast and easy it folded over. Did the cab mount a long time ago too.

anyways, so I have no idea if it’s actually needed, but it’s an easy mod that takes about 5 mins per side of pounding/massaging. an hour total to jack the truck up, take off the wheels, remove the plastic liner clips and bend the plastic out the way, pound, paint, replace the clips and heat that plastic liner flat, put tires back on and roll away.

From there it’s light plastic trimming at the bottom of the wheel well at the back where the mud flaps used to be. Nothing major.

go for it. I like these tires and this set up.

Not yet. Just checked clearances lock to lock. I only have one 35 right now. Need to do more prep on the fenders/firewall before I buy 4 more and mount them.

I had a shop give me 5+ degrees and I've been rolling around with it for the past few months. What kinds of issues should I be looking out for?
