I just ordered a set of 295/75r16. I'm waiting to install them as I'm going to do the cmc at the same time. But I ordered the RIGD spare tire carrier so that I can carry a full size spare.

I just look up the RIGD spare tire carrier online. It appears to be quite pricey. For the cost of one of those I could almost purchase a steel high clearance bumper & swing-out

Yes, it is pricey but you save a lot of weight going with the hitch mounted tire carrier and it is also removable.

Understood. For my truck, the steel bumper would probably be a better idea because I have Old Man EMU leafs.

Don’t hammer the tabs flat. Keep them down so the tire doesn’t slide forward into the diff or break lines. There’s plenty of room between the leaf hangers amd plenty of room between the hitch and diff. Been running it this way for a year and a half and many trips.

This is a DCLB so ymmv.

@Island Cruiser if I remember right, I think we already established it might be different with long beds. :notsure:

I finally installed the 295/75r16 nitto ridge grapplers. I'm running bilstein 6112/5160's, with Method MR701 (0 offset). I have no rubbing, with the cmc, some fender liner trimming, and viper cut.

It came out great. I got the truck tuned and removed the sway bar as well.

The deserts of California. Haha. Not gonna post specifics on a public forum but it’s on public land on roads less traveled.

What offset are those Ray 10's? Are you rubbing? If so, small bit? Major rub?

I would assume aggressive CMC, pinch weld? I am looking to put some 295's on, Nitto Terra Grapplers G2 w/ SCS SR8 17x8.5 -10 mm Offset. Hoping they fit. Your setup is really nice.

Yep, CMC and pinch weld and plastic trimming. You’ll need some good UCA’s as well to get the right alignment numbers.

I still rub the fender well ceiling on hard hits and full stuff turning situations.

That doesn't seem too bad. I hope I have the same scenario. I do have aftermarket UCA's, shouldn't be a problem i don't think. I'll report back once installed.

Hey, thanks! They are the -10s.

I do rub on full stuff & when backing up on slopes. I have a CMC and hammered the pinch weld; I will probably do more cutting which should alleviate my issues.

I'm a big fan of big tires. Your tires look great! You put 295 mm wide tires on how many mm wide rims?
