Required bending the locator brackets (that keep the factory spare from moving into the diff) and bending the exhaust hanger. Also, you really need to pull it back into receiver hitch as you winch up. The tailpipe shield is against the tire, but there isn't a ton of heat back this far. I will keep an eye on it and will add some bend in the tailpipe if I have to.

I will report back in this thread how it holds up

These Trail Grapplers measure true to size, so you may have an easier time with another brand of 295.

Nice work. What did you end up using to bend the locator brackets?

Why not just cut the exhaust were it is turned down. Also what is the clearance to the diff when flexing? That's where you might have a problem.

    Working on it.
I would be concern about heat damage from the exhaust being that close. It looks like it might/does touch the heat shield.

3rd Gen section does not approve. You need a swing out tire carrier on the bumper. And a RTT to win back the favor of TW in general.

    Big hammer.

Not sure I want to cut the exhaust under the bed just yet. Clearance looks good by eye, I'll note any rubbing marks.

The exhaust really doesn't get that hot this far away from the cat, plus there is a heat shield there. I will keep an eye on it.

Not unless the receiver is going to hit as well. Keep the big rocks under the tires when wheeling anyway ;)

LOL, I am the bizzaro Taco owner I think

I switched to 35s and put that under there too (without air was the only way that would fit.) Held up great.

Thanks. How’d the 295 do while it was under there?

If you can fit a 295/70/18 you can totally fit a 285/75/17! I'm curious as well to hear how this all worked out.

I had zero issues with it. Dragged it offroad a handful of times as well.
