Assuming you checked this but you can roll the truck in neutral right? It's not something further down the line locking the engine up? A long shot but worth checking before you dig into the engine.

Nice to see you making lemonade!

The titanium valves from the Lexus 2UR-GSE should be drop in. They are a bargain.

Hopefully nothing too serious happened. Makes me worry about my high mileage truck.

Let us know what you find!

If you lose your senses again, take that $29k to diesel toys and have them manual & diesel swap the truck lol. 310lb-ft of torque (factory tune) I’m sure it’d be easy to see 300hp/450lb-ft with a tune

Sub, mine is at 120k with no problems and I am meticulous about maintenance as well. So curious what happened to yours.

$20k+ I'm buying another truck. Part out or sell as is. Still worth $10k+ with a dead engine, I bet.

Remove the drive belt and see if the engine will turn over. Maybe a failed accessory

Thats what happened to me . Dam Air conditioning compressor grenaded and locked up the engine .

That dam ac compressor is always running even at 40 below zero . I did the mod so it only comes on when you switch to cool . Not sure if the same mod can be done to 3rd gens

LS out of a car is aluminum block. LS out of truck is iron block. Weight.

I have been where you are now, deep, deep down the rabbit hole trying to figure this out. I once chased a noise for more than a month that sounded like a bearing going out in the rear end. Even after replacing all the bearings the noise continued. Turned out it was an empty beer can blowing in a circle in the truck bed.

Don't let it eat you up. Know that eventually this too will pass and life will return to normal. Good luck.

I'd try Techstream to pull codes.
I believe their are codes that won't present themselves unless you're in "Active Test" mode, or some such.

If you like everything about the truck and arnt looking to make a jump to another vehicle i would go salvage engine and call it a day. Engine swaps are fine but on a Daily (which sounds like yours) a good salvage with low miles would be my first choice in and out in a week and a half. (or faster if your mechanic can work on it right now)
