The rough design has been figured, and the gathering of parts has commenced... soon, a nice equal length dual exhaust will be constructed for my 2019. It will likely be mild, from the volume side of things, though having a flap that actuates to increase sound may be implemented. The right sound is the order of the day, and while that is subjective, IMO a V6 can sing a very sweet tune.

As it sits, the formula is to utilize a factory IS350 H pipe, factory IS350 mid pipe resonators, and Lexus/HKS F Sport accessory rear mufflers. These rear mufflers are a neat combo of a perforated tube absorption type in one muffler, and the second muffler is a Helmholtz resonator is its entirety. They seem to produce a very nice tune on the Lexus, and since we have a variant of the engine, it's a good place to begin.

I snagged a nice set of used HKS mufflers off of eBay. The tips are 3.75", a bit much. Now to gather the upstream parts.

When I see dual pipes on a truck I instantly wonder if the person sleeps with their first cousin and drinks Bud Light

    I'm just saying

no headers on a 2GR-FKS. solid manifold. URD has a version of it called the extractor, but still a manifold.

Stated above. The tips are a bit much, but we'll see. The sound is subjective, I like it. Would the 2UR-GSE out in my barn sound better? Undoubtably.

I usually only think that when I see a stack, or stacks coming out of the front of the bed.

Here are the factory H pipe and resonators. The interior of the H pipe looks exactly as the stamped exterior does, no baffles or perforations hiding in there, just a fat H... or maybe a squashed X? The resonators are straight through with a perforated core, as expected. Outer diameter of the H inlet is 2.13", the resonators are 2.21" in, 2.44" out.

I mean it depends on your state. Generally okay in the south.
