good morning guys .!!! its a couple of years since ive posted but back in the “ taco game” again got a new 3rd gen and currently have a emu set up medium rate spring with the nitro shocks ..... im wanting 1.5 or even 2 inches more and have The Spc UCa’s also .. is it too crazy to add 1.5-2 inch top plate lift spacer on top of them would there be any major problems.

    lol the spacer debate

The general rule of thumb is this:
If you offroad at all, don't.
If it's for looks alone and your truck never leaves the street, go for it - caveat emptor. Prolly have less of a smooth ride, but you'll be fine.
If money is not tight, get a proper setup.

So full droop is 24.5" hub center to fender on the front suspension. According to what I've read on the "what you need to know about lifting a 2016" thread any lift past 23" is going to ride like crap. They say in that thread that 21" is a stock ride height on a new 3rd gen. After installing my OME 888 kit with the weight of my accessories I would up with 22 1/2 and 22 5/8 up front. I'm going to add a winch as well so I have ordered a 1/2" thick top plate spacer kit to bump me up 3/4-7/8 before I drop 1/2 I'm guessing from the weight of the winch/tray. There are other members running top plate spacers here for the same reasons. You just need to see where you settle out at with accessories as to how thick a spacer you can run. Of course if you don't care about ride quality and CV life then it's your truck to do as you'd like.

If you do run 888's I'd suggest putting longer bolts in the top hats so you have room for more than a 1/4" spacer without have full disassembly. Whatever you decide take the time to share your data in this thread so people can actually have a reference. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/lift-kit-settled-height-reference.536929/

It shouldn't change the ride at all since it goes on top of the strut and doesn't preload the spring like moving up positions on your 5100's would. Mine are paid for but haven't shipped yet. I also still need to get a winch for my Warn bumper so I will do it all at once sometime this summer. I want the front loaded with everything when I take it in for alignment.

You just have to make sure your shock doesn’t bottom out. I have ome 866 springs but after I added full armor I can tell I dropped about an inch. So I will be adding 1/2 top plate spacers soon. But 2 inch spacers are a whole different story.
