After lerking on this forum for about 2 years I finally took the plunge and bought my first Tacoma. I have owned Fords my whole life. From my first car to my last truck, all Fords. I went from this

I've got almost 2k miles on it now. I had it for a week and then loaded it up and headed to Idaho for a hunt. I must say that I was more than impressed with the way this little rig got around in the woods, snow and ice. Believe it or not the stock tires did extremely well in the snow/ice and did alright in the red clay mud. I was glad there was more snow than mud. I am in no way endorsing these as mud tires. But in the snow they did good. I'm pretty happy so far with the truck. It's a pleasure to drive, comfortable and has enough power for a V6. I did miss the turbo diesel while pulling the passes but there are trade off's for everything. I've learned alot from you guys on here and look forward to making the truck mine. My only complaint is, and it's been mentioned on here already, is the harmonic sounds coming from the drivers side in strong winds or highwy speeds. The first time it happened I was on I90 and I thought somebody was honking at me. I'm sure they will get it figured out and taken care of.

Sorry about the extra pic of the Montana bobsled (F-350), I couldn't figure out how to remove it.

Very nice looking Tacoma... congrats! Waiting on mine still but super excited, even with the talk about wind noise and steering wheel shaking.

BTW, thanks for serving. I have serious respect for the USMC.

My TRDOR 4x4 DCSB AT does not have the vibration or harmonic noises so I think it's only a small number of folks experiencing these issues

Congrats, sweet truck. Only question I got for you...how is it getting used to a 5 foot bed coming from what you had in the ford? Surprised you didn't choose long bed. That is a pretty big difference haha.

Wow congrats on the new Taco. Welcome to the club. I had many fords as well and came from a 2002 Ford Explorer 4x4 8 cylinder. This is my first Toyota and loving it.

Jonny919 that was and is one of the draw backs. When I loaded up to go on the hunt I had crap in every nook and crany. But we just piled it on the trailer. When I decided to get serious about buying it, I did a pro and con list and obviously the pro's out weight the cons because I bought one. The reason I didn't get a long bed is because I was looking for a shorter wheel base truck and the long bed is a little longer than I was looking for.
