So, I searched for this and couldn't find anything obvious.
There are tons are "rattle at 2k RPM from engine bay" but this is definitely not that.

When accelerating from 1900-2200 roughly there is a rattle / buzz from right of the instrument cluster. I took off the dash cover and if I pull the upper part of the vent tubing (closest to instrument cluster, left of radio) forward it goes away; but once I let it go it comes back.

I have tried wedging cloths all over the place but it doesn't stop it. I also took out the radio and got access to the ventilator tubing as it travels back and did some poking around but nothing super obvious. Attempting a single wedge area but it made no difference.

This is slowly driving me crazy. Every time i accelerate past 2k it happens. Goes away above 2200rpm.

    Any thoughts???
    Please!

Check your cabin air filter door. Found mine was not seated properly resulting in rattle. Take out your service manual and tray. Reseat the cabin air filter door. Go for a ride...see if rattle is gone! Cheers!

I have pushed all over the dash in a million places. No dice; it is definitely behind. I took off the front dash and drove around and the only thing that helped was pulling on the upper part of the ventilation tubing. go figure.

I will check the cabin air filter! thanks!

Mine did that and it was the fastener that holds the driver's side foot vent tube in place. It was not run in all the way and had a washer ratlling on it. Get your head down by the brake pedal and look straight up. It is up in there above a big wiring loom.

I'm gonna guess it has to do with your air intake hose near the wheel wells. Heard those could rattle if not seated properly. Air sucks differently at 2K?
