I told ya I was coming anyway! Will probably just park my truck most of the time and ride most of the stuff with some people. That way I don't flatten any more tires and tear junk the weeks before my trip, but I'm in for shenanigans.

Also, your gashing of walls has prevented my desire to get P rated tires for weight savings when my Grabbers go bald. I'll suck up the MPG loss and stay with LT

It is strange. I got some P-rated 265/70/17 Grabbers on FJ Steel wheels recently. Threw them on to try out. These MF'ers feel way heavier while driving than my 295/75/16 D-rated (i know, not E) Grabbers do. Like a lot.

I know they are not actually heavier. Both handling them in the garage, and the online stats tell me that. It might just be that steel wheels, having more mass towards the center of the wheel, make it tougher to turn. I was just expecting that they would be worlds lighter and drive like a racecar since its been so long since I have been on stock-size tires.

Point being, going same tire size P to E really likely wont do shit, and if you want to help the situation look into lightweight wheels....SCS ect.

Wouldn't mind having it. Depends on where the funds are when it comes time for him to sell it. It'll probably be right around my trip time which would probably throw it out for me. If it gets pushed back to tax time then I may be golden.

Can someone give me the rundown on fuel & water while at Rush?

Also, when are people heading down? The evening of the 8th or is the 9th the day to show up & setup camp? I'm trying to see if I can swing this.

I have steel wheels I plan to use for the KM2s so I can beat on them when they get beat on. Can't fix a bent lip on alloy wheels.

But, steels are much heavier than they alloy wheels. That's what you're feeling. Also, they're an inch more in diameter over your 16s.
Find it strange your 295 are D and not E rated, though.

So far, loosely planned that @mwc273 and myself are meeting up around noon on the 9th. Surely the other Cincy fellers will be with him that can be. Likely at the Flying J

    upload_2018-7-11_12-27-34.jpg

I think this is in one of the first 3 posts of page 1

You likely won't use an entire tank of gas all weekend. Bring a gallon of water to drink per day. Supplement that amount with your beverage of choice.

No sweat man. It's easy to find the park if someone doesn't meet up with us.

We will probably head to Denny's at least once for a meal, morning or evening, one of the days there. No one expects everyone to show up on day 1.
