What about this makes you feel it isn't worth trying to get a group rate?

    Oh...
    Fine print...
Each permit good for 2 vehicles as long as only 1 at time in park.
Does that mean on trails 1 at a time or on property period?

What Daniel said here, Jeff. Some people are okay with it, some not.
Which is exactly how I replied to their post on FB about the price hike.
That's not something I'm 100% sure about. I would have to think that it's one in the park at a time, but I've never been stopped by the staff at the office or on the trail and had my permit sticker checked or the like. Venture to guess the first time one of tries to pull a fast one, we get the tar slapped out our pee pees

I'm not tracking here. Isn't even a 1% discount cheaper than not trying and getting a 0% discount? Or is this some of that new common core math that I'm not getting?

yeah, not saying I'm out. Just seems pricey.
There isn't a separate camping or facilities fee on top of that is there?

    edit:
and, if I pay for a week, I might just stay a week. Bring the mountain bike or rent/borrow a SxS or something to fill the time more.

Kentucky now charges sales tax on services as well as products. All states that arent already will soon follow. This includes the park now paying more for their paid services....ie Insurance. Just pass it on to the consumer...ie US....

We have to start collecting sales tax on cart rental, greens fees, guest fees at the pool, even monthly dues....Our cost to collect and report the new tax will add roughly 7% administrative cost in addition to the 6% tax. We have to pass that on to members. We were collecting on roughly 1/3 of charges to members. ie 14% to 17% estimated to be added to the cost of excessive lifestyles....

The country club crowd is screaming.

The high cost of maintaning an enormous ego.

I will contact the staff again and ask about a better rate. I did misquote last year and promised closer to 20 trucks because I assumed there would be that many. I'll say that 15 will show up, but to expect 10.

No, there isn't a camping fee far as I know. Unless that's changed. Hopefully, there will be at least a porta potty kinda near. I really don't remember how we handled the women's needs and going #2 last year.

That was handled by them wandering into the woods and one such woman coming home with 7 deer ticks on her.

    Or so I heard....:anonymous:

Talked to one of the owners again. More than accommodating, as usual, for our group.

We will be getting a discount of some kind, not sure how much to expect, though. Last year was $5 off iirc, a different price may not yield the same this year.
Stay for more than one day, you get the weekly rate. One day/night only, and you'll pay the one day price. So the better and smarter buy is the weekly rate and get some damn wheeling in! He doesn't want us to overpay and shares the love of our hobby.

Pending who attends and what they're comfortable with, I'd like to have a couple groups if possible this year. It's a very stock friendly park and there's almost always a way around harder trails or a way to back out or turn around on something you don't feel comfortable with.
Suppose I'd lead the harder group, but need someone to step up for the pavement pounders.

Shirts will happen since I dropped the ball last year  so commit damn it and I'll start working on them to have them on hand for the meet! :D
