I'm game for anything. I don't care what sections we do either, I just want to get another AZBDR run going, try and make this an annual thing if we can!

Safety is always a priority! We only partially scoped out the trails last year. These are pretty well known trails without any real surprises other than weather. They get slick and muddy with rain and snow but it's nothing our trucks can't handle. And we know when to throw in the towel for safety's sake as we did last year when the trails was getting worse and worse just below Globe.

Maybe we pick up close to where we left off this time around and continue the trail up thru the center sections?

I would really like to pick up where we left off.

Anyone have hard dates in mind?

My schedule is super flexible as long as I can give work notice about a month in advance. I’m down for picking up where you guys left off as well. I may try to put together a few shorter trips this winter too like El Camino Del Diablo.

I figured February/March time frame would give people more than enough time to figure out what would work best for them and allow for planning and working out time off work. I actually have a job this time around so I also have to plan around that. We should have the dates solidified probably no less than 2 months out to make sure anyone wanting to join has time to make arrangements for time off.

Roughly thinking 2/29-10/1 weekend or the second weekend of March which would be 3/14 & 15. I have the Fridays prior to those dates off and should be able to take the following Monday off as well to make it a 4 day weekend trip like last time.

While I’d like to just get out and go this weekend, Feb/March is a much better idea. I have some things I really need to do to the truck before a multi day trip. Only time I can’t go around then is March 17-26 other than that I’m fairly flexible.

Unfortunately March is tough for me with northbound thru hiking season starting. Usually spend some time down south doing trail angel weekends. Usually first weekend in March kicks it off.

How does Feb 29/March 1 weekend work? Or is that considered the first weekend of March?

Most likely tough wont know for sure until I start seeing the start dates for the 2020 group. If it appears we have a warmer winter more might start earlier and that weekend is shot. I also feel bad bailing on the wife multiple weekends in a row.

I am in! I missed the last one with you guys, but have since done ALL of the AZBDR except for 8 & 9.

For the section from Globe to Young, I have done half of Cherry Creek Rd FR203, and have done all the way FR202 to Globe to Young, AZ. Awesome little track. The run from Young to Winona is nice too! Gets bouncy and hairy for close to 20 miles!

I also did the West side of the state known as the AZ overland Route from Dewey-Humboldt to Williams. That was a blast!

I am in this time! Snow, sleet, rain....I am down to ride!

I think we should do it Bottom to Top all the way..... this Fall! Better weather for sure~

Talk to me! I say Mexico to Rim this Fall!

OK, so it's kind of looking like Feb 29/March 1 weekend might be the preference. I've updated the first post to indicate that. If the group wants different dates, just speak up. We are still out far enough from this to make changes and is why I started the thread 6 months out!

    I R Dumb. I put Oct and meant March. Don't ask...:anonymous:

It would do OK but I would recommend either AT or MT tires at the very least. We had a lot of mud and snow and stock street tires just wouldn't cut it in that stuff.
