Well if so, you’ll have a group along with you to help, if the occasion arises!

    Hi Y'all,

I just stumbled across this thread. I live in Phoenix and am looking to buy a Tacoma in December. Looking for opportunities to get out and explore Arizona - looks like this is the group to do it in. Will a stock tacoma make it on this trek?

Maybe @xtremewlr can add this question and answer to the first post. Will save some time answering this FAQ

How in depth does planning and outfitting go? Is it just everyone kind of show up on game day and go? Is there planning or meetings in advance? Beer and pizza planning nights leading up to it? Mod/maintenance days to prep vehicles, comms, and gear? Just trying to get an idea.

    I have mods
Planning has typically been relegated to a thread like this and works well for keeping all pertinent information in one spot and accessible by all. Everyone that is actually able to make it then shows up at the designated meeting spot and time. If anyone needs to have a mod/maint day prior to going, that can absolutely be arranged, either on an individual basis or we can do it as a group, whatever works best since many of us are spread out in different areas.

There was a little bit of confusion but for clarification, the dates are Feb 29-March 1 2020.

Bring your lady with you on our trip. Having a co-pilot makes it more fun. Plus then you’ll have some help setting up/tearing down camp.

I understand that, good thing is that as long as you keep up with your honey-do-list, she shouldn’t mind you gone that weekend if she’s gonna be tied up at work anyway!

Hey just saw the thread. I was also wondering if this fall (maybe October/November) made sense before it gets cold/snow and avoid getting snowed out like last time.

I think this needs to be added to the 1st postings.

I'm putting in for it. I'll be bringing my lady with. I should be good for the time off.

Just throwing this out and I really don’t mind if it gets shot down but since it seems like most of the interest is in the sections from Globe on up North, maybe we can run some or all of the southern parts near the end of this year for those that are interested, and then run from Globe on up North next Feb/March.

    Thoughts? Any takers?

Definitely interested in this. Southern AZ is really cool. The stretch from Oracle up to at least dudleyville kinda parallels azt so if run it in Nov or early dec can do a couple water drops and may have a buddy with a cool camp set up along the way. As he does every year to cook for the hikers

I've kinda run the first leg from the border to sonoita but I'm also really interested in the stretch from benson to globe
