Gold lake and Deer lake trails are rated moderated but I was bored with my stock FJ at the time. There are great views but nothing technical. Snake lake on the other hand will be a issue for those without a locker if going up. Strawberry is a great trail with great views and some " Holy crap" moments but not many. Have not wheeled Hell Hole but from the looks of it, some caution will have to be taken. I am looking forward to wheeling this summer, PC and Hollister just don't cut it.

Okay after talking with sierrahsky we are on the same page we will be camping expedition style at a different spot every day. the first spot on Thursday & Friday night we will camp at the or near the signal peak trail head the same trail head as Eagle lakes. And maybe do some night wheelin Friday & Saturday night :D. Saturday night is TBD on the run we plan on doing Sunday morning we will go camp in that area.

I'm just going to through it out there I think we should hit Strawberry pass on Sunday.

I also wanted to post up that if any one is looking to get a decent small camp stove I have a 2x1-burner stove by campchef. It has 2 10K btu burners + a 8K grill for bbq'n. I am trying to get $70 for it. I have a carry case also and a propane tank adapter. Its great for trips like this and is super lightweight.

As a follow up here is a picture of the stove open.

Here is a picture all packed up.

Here is the carry case and the stove all packed up.

The stove includes everything you see and also the grill plates. These are super important because they properly disperse heat over the plate on the pan or pot that you use. This also helps cook time and keep from burning food. It also includes the pot raisers and the additional hook up for a full propane tank instead of using 1lb bottles.

The stove cost me 80+ the propane hook up + the carry case = $125 . I am asking for $70

I had the expedition version of the stove you had and we added the side trays and wind screen and a handful of others.... It was a great stove and crazy powerful. But it did not fit our needs. We wanted something small and easy to set up and break down, and also the weight was a huge issue for us since we are trying to keep it as light as possible. Plus during the winter time it was a pita to cook during snow storms and we kept getting stuck using our jetboil for making dinner. In the end we shrunk down to a bad azz little single burner and will never look back.

I am going to be pretty flexible and will probably be out there fairly early on thursday. We will be running the dogs and getting in some hiking and stuff. I also have a firewood cache up @ the lake already so dont worry about it.

Also a good thing to point out is.... Boca although it looks easy, currently has many technical obstacles and pits due to the massive snow we have had this year. This is a good example of a pit. 5 feet before this was hard packed parking area, I simply made an attempt to just TURN around and get on the highway and in about 5 feet this happened.

Luckily the roads are fairly clear but there may be some obstacles. Just please make sure your ready for anything that comes your way, snow, mud, rocks, sand, trees, animals, and everything you can think of.

    :D YUP.

You cant see from the picture but on the passenger side it was roughly 4 feet deep. We had to stack boulders then add a wood plank to just get on that side.

I am still cleaning mud out. Luckily over by the peak and the harder trails there is no mud holes. But the challenge there is tons of wet ground covered in pine needles and tight turns up steep grades with hidden boulders. It is going to be awesome especially when you add in the night part!
