I lost track thousands of dollars ago.

Yeah that's what I was worried about I didn't want to leave my stuff at the site if we all were leaving to go wheeling. Well I'm in I'll pack light I do have a camp stove that I'm dieing to use so I'll have to bring that so we can eat a good breakfast before we head out to the trail.

Yeah, we camped at the last designated site on the water in the back. It was Sept '08 and the trail was still open then. I think it was the next year they had the jeep accident, so it was still open in '09. But maybe there were gates and they were just open? I don't remember any though. I agree that you can't beat it for camping! Great views above Fordyce too on the way there.

Sorry about the second conversation going here...

C is the best point, its the designated camp ground. Its just before the Crystal Mine and has the best access in and out with the fewest people.

Also not sure if I said this but there is a shooting range on the route on that map so if people are looking to do so they can hit that as well.

I will stop by the forest office when I am out there tomorrow and find out what I can do for getting the sites reserved. I have pulled out the rangers many times this winter so I can probably get them to let me have it.

I had the stove you got, and that thing is a beefy stove! 25K btu's! crazy.

We pack pretty light also, the only real big items are going to be in boxes and should not be too bad to bring. I think the most awkward is the propane and the shower.

Donner is really close to this run, when you do the bear valley run you could swing by this trail also. Seth do you remember where we pulled off the road to air down? ITs about 5 miles before that road. And from there you are maybe 10 minutes to the shooting range, 10 to the lake, and 25 to the campsite. Plus with that new suspension you would really enjoy the drive!

I know i still haven't taken it out of the bag yet. And I'll be bringing a 5gal tank of propane if you guys want to use it for showers. I'll probably build a sleeping platform for my bed by then so I'll be sleeping in my truck.

Eagle Lakes is a pretty cool trail. Plenty to do and a TON of camping off of the Pierce OHV loop.

Put me down as a maybe, I'd love to come up for this just have to see what my schedule is like!

Luckily for us 2nd gen guys the front breathers are above the headers and we only have to relocate the rear. Is it the same for your fj seth? I am looking forward to seeing that thing in action with all the upgrades you have done!!

Your going to love that suspension up here. A guy at my gym has the icon set up and the way it rides is just second to none.

Have you had a chance to wheel her much yet?

Nice, I put mine in the back by the fuel filler cap. But I figure if I go that high I will have worse problems then the breather LOL!

    Hey Jerry,
you might think about the fact that we're getting a lot more snow this year, and you might not be able to even get to White Rock Lake in June. My friend said he tried to go up there a little earlier in the season last year (compared to our original trip of Labor Day weekend) and it was snowed in. We've already gotten a good 50 percent more snow this year than the last 6 years at my house (4K foot elevation, another foot on the ground right now so I may literally be snowed in by tomorrow morning if we get several more feet).

Thought you or anyone else planning on camping there might like to see a few more pics. Some are of the jeep trip with the rolled jeep (July 11, 2009). The first pic is the pic I took when I stepped out and met the ground due to the steep angle surprising me.:D

BTW, if you guys ever get into trouble out there and have to call in lifeflight, they really appreciated having the GPS coordinates.
