Second Annual Winter Camping Trip

When: Feb 9 - 11
Where: Jacks River Fields

It's that time again - winter camping! Time to harden up your game - freeze your butts off while eating old, cold freeze dried food. At least you won't need a fridge to keep your drinks cold.

Trail riding, hiking, hanging out by the fire. Kayak optional.

Jacks River Fields is a quaint, secluded campground is situated on the bank of the south fork of the Jacks River. Surrounded by the yellow poplar, oak, hickory, and white pine forests of north Georgia, these 7 campsites are popular with campers, hikers and equestrians.

Reservations are not accepted. Occupancy of sites are on a first come, first served basis.
Camping: $5/site/night

This time of year, the campground is only accessible from Blue Ridge.

First, we need to pick a weekend - sometime in January or February. Like last year, I'd like to camp Friday and Saturday night.

Post if you are interested, and suggest a weekend (or a weekend you can't make it) and we'll find one that works.

It looks like the 1st or 2nd weekend of February will work for me.

 

First weekend of February is the wife's birthday. I could do the second weekend.

 

2nd weekend in febuary works for me

Haha well I may be in Jacksonville for work so that may seem more fun

 

Having personally worked in Jacksonville previously I can confirm it won't be.
