2nd filter removal follow-up

    Just thot I would give a follow-up to my secondary filter removal, for anyone else who might be considering it...don't bother: After 500 miles, I saw no change (up or down) in MPG's, and I noticed no difference in performance.

    The posts I read about this were mixed, but even the ones that were positive weren't claiming anything dramatic. So, I will be needing to replace that filter now...my removal technique was easier, but short-sighted.

    Oh well, it's not the most expensive mistake I ever made...that would make an interesting thread, wouldn't it?

    Yeah,I never removed mine.
    I think those who said there was an improvement were experiencing a placebo effect.;):)
