You don't need a mfs on a 2014 with a CAI

I have a 2014 Trd sport I read somewhere that if you put a CAI on the newer trucks you don't need to get a mass airflow sensor calibrator because the sensors where better on these and can handle a CAI. Can anybody tell me if this is just BS or if it has any truth to it?

I put in the Volant a week and a half ago and after the first couple of days, I started getting a bit of rough idle. It didn't affect performance but it was annoying as hell when stopped. I pulled the neg on the battery for 30 mins and it's fine now. Didn't loose any of the radio settings etc... hopefully that'll be it, otherwise stock is going back in.
