Well its a land Cruiser with a diesel so I've got that going for me.
7.5 but BS is BS regardless of width. That's why we don't talk offset much in this thread.

True but skinnier rim pulls sidewalls in tighter making the tires a little skinnier. Makes me foubt the bs on my wheels though.

That should actual help me since it makes the tire a little taller and skinnier but it's not much.

    My combined is about 3.5"
TRD wheels are a 16x7.5 with 4.5 and 1" spacers.
The spacers were needed to clear spindle gussets and rear shock at full articulation.

Right about 4" seems to be ideal. I would clear at 4" but 1/2" spacers are not really available

So I'm guessing I need to add spacers to my mix since my 16x8 American outlaws are 4.25 bs

You may be ok, all depends on UCA size and what type of spindle gussets you have if any. Probably best to have a set of spacers on standby when you get ready to install tires. Get the smallest ones you can find. I think there are some 3/4" spacers available, it may require stud trimming to clear back of wheel however, that's a really thin spacer.

I'm at 4" BS on 16x8s. tires are 36x12.5x16 and I clear the TC spindle gussets and UCA just fine. 4" backspacing is ideal for the larger tires.

Hmmmm I'm on stock spindles and stock uca's. The shop I go to was able to get my alignment dialed in perfect. So I never did change them.

I never measured them, they are on the thin side even though they are advertised at 12.5" wide. Here they are next to my old 285s, appear to be about the same width or maybe a bit skinnier :notsure:

How are you liking them? Decent on road? Offroad? I like um. But that means a body lift...

I would do BL in conjunction with FJ Case and crawlbox so I could clock them a bit.
