That's what I'm thinking. No way you can run the 35's on 3" without it eating the front flare/fender.

Every time I see 35's I want them, until I think about how much crap goes into doing it right

Meh, all you gotta do is buy them and put them on. The tires will do all the self clearancing needed

    I'd have to:
re gear, making my 8" rear even weaker
    Fender mod
Cut more out of my body mount
Cut my front bumper to fit the new fenders

I don't know about that. In theory, you are correct, but I have found that aftermarket gears take considerably more abuse than factory gears. I don't know why, but I'm running heavy 37's and 4.88's and haven't broken anything. I did grenade the stock gears with just 33's and the same driving style. I'm hard on stuff too, I'm not babying it, and fully expected to swap the rear end for a 9" by now. I would have zero concern with aftermarket gears and light 35's on standard rims. Mine weigh 147 pounds per corner...

Your swaybar is preventing a lot of cab mount and body rub.

The backspacing on his wheels helps a lot too. The further they poke out the more clearance there is.

Good info, so you're saying beadlocks might be too heavy with 35's though?

I'll take a picture of what i'm talking about later, but as I sit now (not too different from anyone else on 35s without LT, if I were to space my wheels out more, it would not help my cab mount rub, but rather just make it rub on closer to the center of the tread instead of closer to the outer edge. it will help you stop rubbing on the frame rail behind the LCA mounts though.

another area to look out for with 35s. I just found this little tidbit yesterday when I had the front wheels off. no need for a tub with 35s, but you may have to hammertime the upper fender well a little to prevent rubs on full compression. very quick and easy fix, just something to keep an eye out for.

also had to slightly adjust my reservoir position, as I was just kissing one of the hose fittings at full lock.

I rubbed the same area as well, actually a little closer to the front of the truck. Nothing a BFH can't fix tho. Still haven't rubbed my allpro bumper yet.

alignments and manufacturing tolerances come into play a lot for this kind of rub. on the drivers side, I rubbed as the picture shows, but on the passenger side, there was no rub up front, but I had to beat the rear of the fender back further.

luckily the all pros clear tires nicely. they have more clearance than a number of other plate bumpers because they were built to line up with their glass fenders, and work with their 2+ long travel kit.

Absolutely, everyone's setup is different so the amount you have to beat and clearance can vary greatly. I noticed the same things from one side to the other on my rig as well.

Mr.Grimm warned me about possibly having to trim the allpro, but i'm glad I haven't had to yet. Even if I did touch, I plan on selling this bumper soon so I really don't want to hack into anyways.
