I have friends from all walks of life and orientation. We all know our places and when the chicks realize some of the guys are out of reach, they flock to the rest of us. Peoples comfort levels are different though. I am accepting of everyone.

Those half doors look sick. Close up pics please. Sink a cup holder into the top edge.

As ghetto as it sounds, I purchased a slim latch from Speedway hoping it would work and make install cleaner. Well turns out the latch released from a top pull rather than a down pull which would mean the cable would have to be ran over the latch. Unfortunately there isn't a ton of room with my cut lines so I actually cut up the stock latches. I cut all the plastic surround from em(the plastic is what operates the inner door handle) and what was left was a small portion. This portion was the outer door handle switch which is actually metal. So after shaving the stock latch down, I just ran a release handle I got from speedway also and connected it to the outer door switch.
The doors are not finished. By far. I still have to add speakers and finish up the welding on the inner skin but here's a pic FWIW
I was going to add cupholders until I remembered I already have 5 of em. Even with the half doors lol so decided not to deal with em yet. uploadfromtaptalk1423774005853.jpg

I still have to do finish welding, add the speakers, clean it all up and paint but this is as far as I got. I bolted up that one piece above the handle in case I ever need to get to the latch.

I'm losing a couple cup holders when the twin stick case goes in and maybe a crawl box if money permits while doing the SAS.

There should still be ten others? Ha. Think theres like 12 in a single cab.

Although a cup holder would be easy go add if he wants, just drill a hole and put an insert in

I've often wanted to build half doors. Tube doors are getting old to me after a year or so of having them.

Where did you find the doors at?

I want half doors!! Haha as stupid as it sounds I'm kinda bummed about loosing my cupholders with the twin stick. I think I'm gonna make a new custom cupholder/shifter trim piece when the time comes :spy:

Got one door for free from a friend (no idea why he had one lol) and paid $40 for the other door from a guy who bought it for his DCSB but sold it once he realized that reg cab doors are longer and wouldn't fit.
