2nd Gen 4x4 35s 3" Lift w/o BODY LIFT

Yep. I love mine. I've had them for 4 years and aprox 60k miles. Changed the uniballs and bushings for the hell of it during my 90k mile service but they were in good condition still.

Who did the alignment?

 

Trucks great no rub at all.

The alignment was done at a local 4wd place they knew exactly about the lr ucas and how they worked.

 

Anyone here happen to have an idea how much the FJ transfer cases are?

Junkyard deals are usually around the 400 mark. Wyatt at rocksolidtoys.com rebuilds them and does the twin stick mod for 900 I believe.

 

What!? I thought to get a twin stick you need taco box and all sorts of stuff! Like $2000 of stuff!

Got under my truck to run a new CB wire and noticed one of my bolts on my transmission mount is missing and looks like a good bit of oil has came out as well. Fuuuuuuckkk. It never had any spots under the truck so I never noticed until I got under here. Hopefully the transfer case isn't hurt. Gonna try to find a new bolt tomorrow and fill it back up. its fine

Which is why Ima just price a transfer case and transmission ahead of time in case anything got messed up internally.

 

Well I took a welding rod and stuck it in the hole to see if the holes were sealed or open and the rod went all the way in so I'm just worried about the fluid loss from driving with them out.

 

I guess its my seal then cause my trans and transfer case are covered in what looks to be an oil or fluid of some sort.

 

I'll take some pics tomorrow with some daylight and see what you think it would be.

This is why I was concerned. Look at the fluid on the transmission and mount.

 

Yeah I honestly know nothing about it. I know taco box means slower haha. With a taco box and FJ Crusier T-case you have a dual transfer case, correct? I just don't get what the twin stick does?

 

Twin stick t-case separates the hi/lo range from 2wd/4wd so each can be selected independently. Basically give you 2lo.

 

Ah that's what it does! Ok why would you want that just curious? Also with the taco box you get to select and even lower gear, correct? How would you select that? Or does it just make your 4lo way lower?

 

There are 3 shifters. One for the crawl box and two on the FJ case. The crawl box shifter is neutral and engaged in most cases to a 4.7 gear.
The FJ case has high/low and 2wd/4wd.

2low is good for just going slow where you don't need 4wd.

Many gear options with this setup.
