They were $300 for the pair, after returning OEM cores. The silicone boots added $80 to the pair I believe. You could probably buy the boots seperate as well I would think.

They are in Denver, so Gage you could drive down and save the shipping costs.

I destroyed a cvj axle a month or so ago. Just realized it a week ago. Probably drove a couple thousand miles before I got a chance to figure out where a quiet rumble was coming from. Idk what it's called but the inner joint was just flopping around. Everything inside it was demolished.

I'll make the call tomorrow. Might just pull the trigger on the full setup so I don't have to mess with them on my end. Space and time are at a premium for me right now.

I'll check with cvj in the morning, but I'm curious now. Anyone know what a set of refurb cv's costs if I don't give them a core? I just want a set of spares.

I believe the core charge is $90. They make it pretty high because they want OEM Cores. They will not credit for aftermarket axles either.

Yeah it used to be $45 but I think they ran out of OEM axles lol. I ran a group buy on here a few years ago through CVJ and they gave us a pretty good discount. Think I bought 3 or 4 spare axles haha.

I wonder how that compares to junkyard prices. Until this talk of cvj axles the junkyard was my plan for tracking down spares. I guess I have investigating to do

They are about the same. I've tracked some down in the junkyard for $125 each, just keep your eye out for them. I think the dealer wants roughly $350 each for CV axles.

Yes, but OEM are the best when it comes to strength compared to the aftermarket junk.

Completely remanufatured OEM axles. That's a good thing for strength! Outside of going RCV axles(which most say will just make your front diff. the weakest link)

    Found my invoice:

    $94.00 Per axle
    $39.95 Silicone offroad boots
    $85.00 Core charge

Wow yeah the core charge def went up! They may be interested in doing group buy again if someone contacts them. I just found my email from them from February of 2012, I ran a group buy on here.

    Hi Anthony,
Sorry for the delay. We tried to come up with something simpler.
If you are still interested, We will do a group buy. Minimum 20 axles. Your cost will be $67.00 each for those axles, and $74.00 afterwards.
This offer is good for 30 days.
Cores MUST be Original Toyota axles - no aftermarket ones.
Core charge is $50.00. Torn boots OK. Only partial or no core refund for snapped shafts, broken tulips or CVs - on a case by case basis.
We will need a couple of weeks to build our inventory up to handle this. Perhaps we can release them over 2-3 weeks, or perhaps we can get some cores from you in advance.
Just to avoid confusion - these axles are Original Toyota Tacoma axles that are completely remanufactured by us.
All the parts are inspected for integrity and wear, and replaced with other cores and new parts as needed. Some of the internal components are high quality aftermarket parts.
The grease is a quality automotive grade of Extreme Pressure Moly grease. The boots are both neoprene aftermarket.
Where used for offroad / lifted vehicles there is no warranty.
These axles are NOT the high performance axles that we do for these vehicles (typically $300.00 plus each).
Please email or call with any questions, etc.

    Regards,
    Steve Skirrow

I'm in no place time wise to setup a group buy for these, but I would buy a trail spare if someone wants to set it up

Ummmm I need these. Atleast the boots. But yeah. Finishing up on gears and locker GB in the next couple weeks here. Maybe we should start these going too. I am broke personally and taxes do not help me since we run in the red all year. Budgeting on the daily. I know many others would like to jump in too by the looks of it. 2 for me, maybe a 3rd as a trail one.

Anyone have the pricing on the RCV axels? out of curiosity that is. I looked and their site is not the easiest to navigate.
