    But seriously. Should I have much trouble with 295 55 20 trail grapplers on a 3" lift and 4.5" backspace?

    The cutting isn't that hard. I did mine with a harbor freight skill saw and a Dremel for the flares. Though I wasn't clearing 35s. I cut 2.5in off my fenders and flares to clear 285s on pretty much no lift. I was rubbing everywhere with 3.5in Backspacing. Figured on cutting enough to give me room to grow

    You'll have to trim a little bit I would imagine I know some people that barely rub with 285's

    The cutting is easy just time consuming. I cut the metal and the plastic flares all with dremel. I was tired of rubbing with the 33s, now hopefully will clear 35s or I will need to trim out a little more. I understand about people not wanting to cut up their trucks; I've been in two accidents in my truck so mine is far from perfect. Cutting doesn't scare me

    I had a jeep before that I chopped, not scared just don't want to f it up. And I'm not talking 35"s it's 33 12.50"s that I'm going with.

    What kind of caster numbers are you guys running? More caster pushes the wheel away from the firewall/cabmount but then you run into the problem of hitting the upper inside of the fender at full bump. Just want to see what people have found to be the happy medium. Maybe people are bumped before hitting the top of the fender, or just beat the shit out of it to make it clear??? :notsure:

    Anything over 2.5 degrees of caster is where you want to be. If you take out that pesky fender liner you won't hit it. :D

    Good to know guys. I'm not sure where I'm at right now since I haven't had an alignment in a while, but with 295/75/16 its seems like my cab mount and pinch welds are taken off/in almost as much as possible and I barely clear. Not to mention the top inner fender (towards the front of the truck) barely clears as well. Haven't had the liner in the for long while now.

    Just trying to find space for the inevitable step up to 35's

    I had to trim 3" off my fenders to fully clear the 35's when tucked.

    I parked next to a stock Tacoma yesterday and it reminded me why I started trimming fenders and putting on big tires lol

    That's a good one lol
    Justin from All-Pro did, he used to work in a body shop so I trusted his cuts more than mine and he did a killer job!

    I'm glad so many of you on TW build your own parts from scratch, instead of buying them, and never has any help with installation because you are all knowing since birth ... I'm learning so much from all you innovators and engineers out there and hope to be on your level very soon lol
