How is everyone here going about re-attaching the flares after trimming everything?
Also whats the best way to measure the whole fender to make a clean cut all the way around?

I bought some new clips off ebay. Those and some zipties that I put through L brackets that I epoxied to the inside of the fenders at each end helped. For making a consistent line prior to cutting I did this.

Wow, can't believe this is almost 2 years to the day. Time flies when you're having fun modding.

    Nice take job

And I went more ghetto then that. I took 4 pieces of cardboard, placed them all together, drilled 2 small holes 3 1/4" apart, pushed two pencils through, spread the cardboard out to hold the pencils sturdy and drew my line. Haha

I'll try and get a pic when I get home but I basically reused the bottom part of the fender I cut off since its an L shape. I cut 2" sections out and epoxied those on. If that makes any sense...

To help support the lower part of the cut fender I flipped the lower support brace upside down and ran a bolt through the fender to secure it.

You can see the L piece with the zip tie that helps keep the flare sucked in and aligned.

So you cut 3-1/4" off the flare at the top (horizontal part) of the flare?

No I didn't put the flares back on. I cut just the bed itself.

I think Tyler @ Pelfreybilt method of cutting the fenders is the cleanest. Hard to screw it up but it takes a bit longer.
