I broke the bridges on my flares removing them to trim and drilled out the flares and did 3/8s bolts in place. The threading is big enough to catch the holes where the clips went in the fender so no need to use a nut on the other side of the fender and I can take the flares off in about a minuet a piece.

Do it. How did you tell where to drill on the ones where the bridges had broken off already

I lined up the flare with the clips that weren't broken and marked on the inside of the fender with a sharpie and drilled where I marked

Cool. Remember that when you do mine. I'm thinking 3/8 machine screws with finish washers might look a little cleaner. You remember how many bolts you used

34 bolts. More if someone had a stock rear bumper or front bumper

Soon. I'll find the bolts and finish washers. I still haven't put the flare I ripped off at Uwharre back on

I've seen pictures of flat hex head screws in the fender holes that look clean because they didnt protrude much. On my last build I shaved the OEM clips smooth and bought a can of paint matched dupicolor from Napa. It wasnt noticeable until you were close. Not a bad fix for 20$ and about 2 hours worth of work. It also didn't snag on any shrubbery :)

Edit: here are 2 pics of the aforementioned mod. I was really into the no flare look on my 08 but have since decided to not fuck with it on the 15.Screenshot_2015-08-18-08-12-26~01.jpg Screenshot_2015-08-18-08-06-49~01.jpg

I'm in 8 dollars and I haven't had any issues yet with shrubbery but it's a mod that could be an expensive fuck up

What I did after trimming mine is I plastic welded the bottom edge back on for a stock look and to make it stronger. The thing that keeps mine on snug is every few clips I plastic welded bolts on the inside of the flare In place of about every third clip ! So now each flare has 3 bolts snugging it up and the front flares I also left the inside lip bolts on to secure them on

I like this method....this is the new standard imo for those wanting to keep those "skinny" flares on. Now come do mine please...

If I remember right I think it was 2 & 1/8", the front flare where it sits nest to the bumper I went a little more to make up for the big tire clearance so it was about 2" and the from I eye balled to make it look proportional

ssenger side is worse. Ill try that now.

    [/QUOTE]
You gotta check out the problem.. you either have a brocken tab clip mount on the flare or a bad clip. If I need any clips I buy them from the dealer, I dont mess with aftermarket once! I'm sure there are descent clips out there and I know stock is expensive if you're replacing a bunch of them but you gotta do what you gotta do to make it work good and look right. Last thing you want is to lose a flare.
You will hear each clip click in when you press it in if they are in good shape
