The guy in the single cab stuffed 37's and is at the same height as me. It looks pretty dope, but too big for me. 35's on a 2.5-3" is perfect.

35s are bearable with stock gears on a Reg cab, 37s would required lots of gear and possibly forced induction.

I've got 4.88s and lockers. Still pulling 20 mpg with my rtt on the truck... I just got a new job and with it a 120km round trip when I'm done training I may look at a commuter but my tires are still like 95% lol

I was getting almost 400 to the tank with 255/85 16s on stock gears, I think I'll regear in the next year or so. My truck is a dedicated for the trail now, so poor mpgs and high highway rpms aren't a big deal.

My truck is my daily and I still blow v6 trucks away with milage I'll hit 600km indicated per tank highway all day long, although I need to do some maintenance I think I've got a tire out of balance or a slightly bent rim, my truck sounds like my old 88 4 runner with all the squeaks rolling around town lol

Someone here did 4:10's I remember them discussing it but...Technically 4:10's would be under geared still, you need 4:27's to break even :

Believe 4.30 is only for the rear... Unless I'm not looking in the right place to find the front

    Mini poll: 315/75/16.....VS.....315/70/17 (or 35x12.5x17)

I'm currently rolling on 255/85/16 (10-ply) ST MAXX's and I love them, however they're pretty stiff and don't start flexing much till 12PSI and under.

I'm doing my homework before making the jump, but I was just wondering if losing an inch of sidewall jumping to 17" rim size is worth it for more tire options with C and D load ranges? I like my 16's but I don't think my truck weighs enough to justify 10-ply yet. Need some tire gurus to set me straight! :hattip:

1" sidewall difference isn't going to make or break you unless your a racer or wheel above the limit of your truck.

I drive around at 20psi because my truck is so light.

I'm at 30-32ish. Only extra weight I have is 160lbs in sliders and sometimes my Hi-Lift. Perhaps bumpers and an RTT would solve that.

Don't get me wrong, I love the durability. I guess it's time for me to do a chalk test.
