    On this topic. I went from 285 Toyo MT to the 315 KM2's. The larger BFG's are a few pounds lighter. I picked up about 1-2mpg so one would think that the engine is working a little less to turn them, less strain overall. May also be a better overall gear ratio combo, especially on the freeway.

    ~87lbs

    Roughly 40lbs less rotational mass, can really feel the difference :D
    Installed the 315's around August and never looked back!

    I went from 79lbs with KM2s to 93lbs with MTRs. 265s v. 315s. Of course I wasn't regeared with the 265s like I am with the 315s so it feels about the same.

    What are you looking for? The sua kits have some problems and the performance isnt there compared to dmz's kit just incase your wondering.

    You are correct, but it's not as critical as everyone makes it out to be. I have the heaviest wheel and tire combo possible (TWF double beadlocks) at over 150lbs per corner, and still manage to get 14.8 MPG average. Oddly, I haven't broken anything with them yet. I think a lot of that is because of the hard tire compound in the Military Goodyear's. They just spin instead of hooking up and breaking stuff. I broke way more stuff with 33" KM2's. Rear ring gear, two CV's, a U-joint, three wheels and 7 KM2's (mostly sidewall tears, although one had a flapper in the tread). I did notice a little slower acceleration, but I can still outrun a stock taco so it's not that slow. I think it's more important to pick a tire that will work for what you do instead of focusing on weight. Most guys love the KM2's, but for me I destroy them far too fast to make them work without a sponsorship lol.

    Thursday and Friday we will get snow up high, tollgate for sure, but not much accumulation (2-4 inches). I don't know what to think about this winter, the computer models all showed a nasty one but it just hasn't happened.

    Pa is finicky about the tire exposure - at least in my area...
    Even with the sectioned bushwhackers my 35's stick out about 1/2" too far.

    Yup... Nj is the same way.
    My father in law's shop does my annual Pa inspection so I can get away with it. They peg me on my exhaust dump though. :rolleyes:
