I've been looking at the fender flare mods you guys make to get tires to stuff into the wheel well. Crossed up I have a lot of flare to remove. After you cut the flare all the way around, isn't there a gap all the way around? Between the flare and the inner wheel well? I'd like to keep the stock flares on the truck. Where do you find the flare mounting tabs that go in the fender? Thanks. I know 34's aint 35's but I'm using info in here to stay low.
    Love my MTRs.

Yes there is a gap, but if you cut the fender high enough, you cannot really see it. As for the clips, you can get them from the stealership or you can try ebay for cheap

    I'd call it 35. Virtually no 35 is a true 35

Alright, so just had discount order 315/75 r16 MT/R's in. I might call them up on monday and ask for Hankook RT03's instead though.

Will I be able to drive home the 45minutes without any cutting if I take it easy?

I figured I would try and chop most of everything I can out of the cab mount before leaving. I can't box it up yet though :(. Probably won't be able to under mid april. I could cut the fenders before hand but I want to give myself the option to become sane again and just settle on 285's :p.

Maybe take the flares off beforehand. That way they don't break off if you turn to hard.

Thank you NYCO, that gives me the idea I'm looking for. Haven't even yanked off the flares to see what's there. How do you like the MTRs? What kind of tire milage are you getting? Hope to get 50k out of mine.

Trd intake, flowmaster exhaust, URD Maf calibrator, 3inch lift, Firestone Ride-rite airbags, Raceline 16" wheels, Fibeglass shell, carpeted bench kit, billet grill, Pioneer AVH1400DVD, Kenwood 150 watt amp, Kenwood 12" subwoofers, Access steering wheel controls
So an opportunity came up where I might go with some 35's.... I would be running treadwright 315/75 R16 on my 16x8 wheels with 4.5" backspacing and I am running about a 3" lift.... I am also on stock gearing and don't DD my taco almost at all.... I would plan on trimming the flares, bedsides, quarter panels, and hammer in my pinch weld.

So anything I need to address or fix before?
