That's the plan eventually, and I know I'm gonna get shit for this, but I'm waiting until I can afford it better. Right now I have an opportunity to sell my 33's to another member and if I could sell my 31's also then I could afford 35's

Alright, so I am chopping the cab mount next week and will basically follow what this guy did.

    http://youtu.be/CmV74BZbGYk

That should be all I can actually take off right? I will get it boxed up as soon as I get to a members place with a welder.

Now the pinch weld. I only have 16lb sledge...should I just use that carefully? I see you guys mostly use a smaller BFH. I can pick one up if need be though, not a big deal. Did you guys cut it at all before hammering or just lay into it?

Also, what are you guys doing the reseal the area? I saw a few of you guys found out you had a leak when it was to late. I would rather avoid some wet carpet and reseal regardless.

With alll of that, plus taking off the fender flares, I should be able to drive home just fine? Its a 45 min drive, maybe 2 sharper turns in town. I am on a 2in ironman lift if that matters at all. I will probably pull off on a flat dirt road for some pics but it should be very limited flexing the whole way. I might be able to get the front fenders cut before hand but its doubtful with me having exams early in the week.

Thanks for all the help . I am eager to beat this bitch up!

It's easier to fold it and smash than to try and cut it flush.

I just put a few cuts into the pinch for relief and went to town, so far no leaks, I just pounded them flat and only knocked in the firewall a little bit.

Thanks for the quick responses! Did you guys have immediate rub on the fenders? Or only when stuffed?

Homer, you are one the guys that got a flooded floor. What did you do to seal it back up?

You are fine on the way home. I have NOT trimmed my fenders yet. Minus the lower corner that was rubbing.

The pinch weld is also the water run-off line... I used some RTV and then rattle-canned it black.
    Zero issues after that. :D

    Wrecked!
I dont have 35s but i did they pinch weld when i did the cab mount chop. I used some large Chanel lock pliers to fold it part way then beat it woth a 3 lb hammer. Worked great! Then used some flex seal and paint to seal it. No cutting involved on the pinch weld as I've read lots of bad stories of leaks.

What prices did everyone pay for their MT/R's? I got discount to price match 4WP which are like 272.99. OTD price is $1233 with install and tax.

Drive in the middle of the road and try it. Most roads crown down from the center line.

Get on a nice flat road and see if it still pulls. If it does, swap your front tires side to side. Try again. If the pull changes, it was the tires. If not, it's your alignment.
