    The maker of the Dakar m/t is "mark ma". They are just Chinese knockoff tires, they are being sued by toyo as of August '13.

    In addition, I have heard the toyo mt is more durable than the old Baja t/a in their opinion from some guys who have a fab shop in sd. However it is so heavy and grippy that it is breaking the drivetrain on their vehicles. They said when you spin them and it finally grabs it is just too forceful and damages the vehicle.
